According to police, the driver of a red Ford Fusion was traveling northbound in the 1200 block and was making a left-hand turn when the motorcyclist slammed into the front of the vehicle.

Both drivers had a steady green light when the accident occurred, police said. The driver of the Fusion said she didn't initially see the motorcycle and only saw a dimly lit light as she was turning -- but it was too late to avoid the crash.
