Pair extracted from vehicle after Southeast Side crash, police say

Incident occurred just before 1 a.m. in 3400 block of E Southcross

SAN ANTONIO – Two women in their 30s were taken to an area hospital following a vehicle crash on the city's Southeast Side overnight, San Antonio police said Friday.

The incident was reported just before 1 a.m. in the 3400 block of East Southcross, not far from Pecan Valley Drive.

According to police, the driver was involved in a minor accident just before the crash, possibly due to a medical episode.

Firefighters said the driver was pinned to the dashboard. Both the driver and the passenger were taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, it is unclear if any charges will be filed. No one else was hurt.
