SUV crashes into fence, lands outside NE Side home

SAPD: Man was speeding prior to crash in 12900 block of Samuel Prescott Street

SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 30s crashed his SUV into a fence, causing the vehicle to roll in front of a Northeast Side home, San Antonio police said Thursday.

According to police, the man was speeding when he lost control of his Cadillac Escalade just before 4 a.m. in the 12900 block of Samuel Prescott Street.

The man, who was pinned inside the SUV,  was extricated and taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment of two fractured pelvic bones, police said. 

The victim, who police said has a history of seizures and post-tramatic stress disorder, may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash.

No one inside the home was injured.
