Castle Hills officer conducting traffic stop discovers injured man on sidewalk

May may have been hurt in hit and run crash, police say

CASTLE HILLS, Texas – A traffic stop in Castle Hills has led to an unusual discovery for police.

They found a man injured as the result of what appears to be a hit-and-run crash.

A Castle Hills police officer heard the man crying for help around 5 a.m. Monday while conducting an unrelated traffic stop near NW Military and West Avenue.

He then found the man, who is in his 20s, lying on the sidewalk suffering from unknown injuries.

Paramedics arrived at the scene, treated the man briefly then took him to a hospital by ambulance.

Officers were not able to determine the extent of his injuries.

They said for reasons they could not disclose, they were “not able to get much out of him.”

No information was released on the vehicle that may have been involved in the crash.
