Bicyclist hospitalized after crash into vehicle

Man, 34, was taken to University Hospital with multiple injuries

SAN ANTONIO – A man is recovering Monday morning after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle, San Antonio police said.

The accident happened just before 2:30 a.m. near Lexington Avenue and East Quincy Street just north of downtown.

Police said the bicyclist ran a red light going north on Lexington when the bike he was on couldn't stop. That's when, police said, the cyclist crashed into the vehicle.

The 34-year-old man suffered multiple injuries and was taken to University Hospital.

Police said the driver of the vehicle will not be charged.
