Man killed in North Side crash identified

Jermaine Terrell Sutton, 28, was killed early Saturday morning

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the name of the person killed in a vehicle crash that happened over the weekend.

Jermaine Terrell Sutton, 28, died in a crash that happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Sahara Drive on the city's North Side.

Police said the vehicle Sutton was in jumped a curb and drove through the courtyard of an apartment building. That's when, police said, Sutton was ejected from the vehicle.

Sutton died at the scene. A second passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. 

Police said the driver of the vehicle will likely be charged with intoxication manslaughter.

The driver in a deadly crash will likely face charges, according to San Antonio police. 

Police said the woman was driving down Isom Road around 2:30 a.m. Saturday when she jumped a curb and drove through the front courtyard of an apartment building. The car flipped into a ditch in the 10000 block of Sahara Drive and the passenger was ejected from the car and died on the scene, police said. 

A second passenger suffered minor injuries. The driver was taken to University Hospital and is expected to be OK. Police said she will likely be charged with driving while intoxicated and intoxication manslaughter.
