SAN ANTONIO – One person is dead following a major accident on the city's North Side early Tuesday morning, San Antonio police said.
The accident was reported around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection Broadway Street and Ridgecrest Drive.

According to police a family of four inside a Dodge minivan were on their way to breakfast when they hit a woman in her 70s walking in the middle of Broadway Street. The woman hit died at the scene.
Police said they do not know who didn't see who, but that the impact appeared to have knocked the victim out of her shoes.
No charges will be filed against the driver, a 30-year-old woman, police said. The woman's parents and an infant were also inside the minivan at the time of the collision.
The 8100 block of Broadway Street has been blocked off as emergency crews work in the area. Traffic is being diverted off of Broadway Street. Officials say the street will be closed for at least another hour.
