Police looking for hit and run suspects

Accident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on South Zarzamora

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for a pair of suspects involved in a hit and run accident overnight.

The accident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on South Zarzamora Street near Merida on the city's West Side.

Police said three cars were crossing railroad tracks when a pickup truck rear-ended a Mustang which then hit a car in front of it.

That's when, police said, the pickup truck sped off, before hitting a telephone pole next to the railroad crossing.

Witnesses said the driver and the passenger from inside the truck then ran away from the scene.

So far, police have not found either the driver or the passenger.

The investigation is ongoing.
