SAN ANTONIO – Loop 1604 at Blanco Road was closed in both directions Thursday afternoon due to a traffic accident, police said.
SAPD said around 2 p.m. a man first tried to run across the highway and causing a three car accident. The man then ran to the overpass and jumped into traffic, killing him and causing another accident.

Traffic was backed up for several hours.
