TSA finds 3 firearms in carry-on bags at SA International, 66 nationwide

Passengers can face a penalty as high as $11,000

WASHINGTON, DC – The Transportation Safety Administration discovered 66 firearms last week in carry-on bags around the nation.

Of those, 61 were loaded.

In addition to all of the other prohibited items TSA finds weekly in carry-on bags, officers also regularly find firearm components, realistic replica firearms, bb and pellet guns, airsoft guns, brass knuckles, ammunition, batons, stun guns, small pocketknives and other items, TSA said.
