Frontier Airlines adds 2 nonstop flights from SA Int'l Airport

SAN ANTONIO – Frontier Airlines on Tuesday launched two new nonstop flights from San Antonio International Airport.

The flights will be offered to Southern California's Ontario International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, officials said.

"This is exciting news, to see Frontier show even more interest in the continued prosperity of San Antonio and our surrounding region," San Antonio aviation director Russ Handy said.

With the newest flight additions, Frontier now serves 13 markets out of San Antonio.

"These new direct flights represent our community's collective efforts to enhance our connectivity with other markets," San Antonio Economic Development Foundation president and CEO Jenna Saucedo-Herrera said. "They will improve our ease of doing business and stoke the momentum that the San Antonio economy is feeling right now."

Tickets go on sale immediately for flights to Washington, D.C. and Ontario.

Service to and from Washington Dulles International Airport will begin Oct. 8, while Southern California's Ontario International Airport flights start on Oct. 13.

Both services will be served year-round four times a week.
