SOFTBALL: Canyon falls short of perfect season, finishes as UIL Class 5A State runners-up

The Canyon softball team was the only undefeated squad entering Red & Charline McCombs this week, but they came up short of completing a perfect season with an 8-0 loss to the defending state champs Montgomery Lake Creek on Saturday afternoon.
