PEC slowly returns power to some customers, rural areas still awaiting restoration

The power is slowly turning back on for Pedernales Electric Cooperative customers. However, about 300 customers are still in the dark. The majority of the issues are for their customers further up North near Dripping Springs. As some weather moves in, in the next few days work is expected to slow down. A spokesperson for the company said the rough terrain and more complex fixes are partly to blame in rural areas where they have not been able to restore power as quickly.
