SAN ANTONIO – A cold front is making its way through South Texas early Tuesday morning and bringing heavy rains and thunderstorms with it.
KSAT 12 meteorologist Mike Osterhage said the strongest storms were in the South and Southeast. Another storm line may develop in the Hill Country. The severe thunderstorm watch has expired. There may still yet be another strong storm Tuesday however.
Mike says it will be very windy today, and a wind advisory takes place from noon until midnight. It will be cooler the next few days.
High winds and hail have also been reported across South Texas. Viewers have sent in pictures showing hail covering yards. Winds gusts as high as 60 mph have been reported at Laughlin AFB.
The KSAT 12 Weather team has received reports of windows being blown out of homes in Del Rio.

KSAT 12 meteorologist Katie Vossler says to expect windy conditions behind the front and a dip in those warmer-than-normal temperatures.
Katie says some of the thunderstorms could become strong to severe. Heavy downpours, frequent lightning and small hail are possible and an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
The front will push the storms through South Texas during the early morning hours, leaving behind just a few light showers by the normal Tuesday morning commute.
Behind the cold front, expect northwest winds to gust to 30-35 mph at times. Katie says clearing skies are expected through the afternoon Tuesday and cooler temperatures are on tap for midweek.
