Many schools around the city have reported outages and issues as a result of the weather. All the students are safe.
NISD also said Brennan High School, Luna Middle School, and Ott Elementary School all have had electrical issues or outages. All students are reported safe there as well.
South Texas will continue to stay in an active weather pattern for the rest of the week, with at least slight chances for rain in the afternoon and evening.
