Sunshine, warmer temps through middle of the week

Morning lows in 40s on Tuesday morning

SAN ANTONIO – South Texas started off the work week with fantastic weather conditions. There was plenty of sunshine Monday and relatively light winds with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Monday night may require a light jacket or sweater if you have plans to be out as temperatures will dip into the lower 40s in San Antonio. Locations in the Hill Country can expect the upper 30s under clear skies.

Tuesday will be very similar, with highs in the upper 70s and sunshine filled skies.

There will be a weak front that will enter the state by Thursday and will increase flow from the Gulf of Mexico beginning on Thursday all the way through the weekend. This will start to increase the cloud coverage and may lead to a stray shower on Saturday and Sunday, but nothing in the way of heavy or even moderate rainfall.

With the extra clouds in place, highs will go from the lower 80s on Wednesday to the lower 70s for the remainder of the week.

Once the front gets closer to San Antonio, we could see a slight dip in temperatures early next week, but still remain above normal in the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.

Overall, there is not a real big chance of rain in the next 7-10 days. We could definitely use the rainfall as it’s been almost two weeks since there was measurable rain at the airport.
