But a cold front will break this week’s streak of heat and humidity.  The front is forecast to arrive midday on Saturday.

Once the front arrives, gusty winds will kick in and drier, somewhat cooler air will filter in to the area.

By Sunday morning, temperatures are forecast to dip into the mid-40s. Monday morning will be chilly, too.

Thanksgiving forecast

As for Thanksgiving week, expect a gradual warmup through Tuesday.

A slight chance of a shower exists on Tuesday, especially late in the day.

A weak frontal boundary will move through on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to stay mild for Thanksgiving.
