Rare snowfall brings out youth in adults

Residents surprised by amount of snow that fell

BOERNE, Texas – For many people in the San Antonio area, Thursday night was a first.

Not only did it snow, but plenty of it fell on the ground for young people -- and those young at heart -- to enjoy.

"You always hope it's going to snow," said Connie Klein, a Boerne resident. "We were getting ready to leave from work, but all of us just wanted to play in the snow. It was like being a kid again."

Some residents couldn't help but have a good time in the winter wonderland.

"(I) had a snowball fight last night. First time I've done that since I was a kid. So we had a good time," said Tim Philtop, a Boerne resident.
