Chances of storms to start the new week

Heavy rain, gusty winds in some isolated storms

SAN ANTONIO – The first full week of summer is upon us! While it will definitely still be hot and muggy across South Texas, there will be a chance of showers and storms early in the week to potentially cool things off a little bit.

Here's what you need to know:

Monday afternoon -- We are watching storms west of Austin, as they are slowly moving/building south.  This activity will initially affect areas in the Hill Country, but San Antonio could see some rain later this afternoon.

Monday evening and night -- Coverage of the storms are forecast to diminsh some tonight. However, isolated activity cannot be ruled out.

Tuesday --Scatterd showers and storms are possible again, especially east of I-35.

Midweek and beyond -- Rain chances drop out of the forecast for the second half of the workweek. High temperatures will be in the mid-90s with a plenty of sushine.
