At 1100 a.m. AST (1500 UTC), the center of Post-Tropical Cyclone Gabrielle was located near latitude 43.9 north, longitude 37.8 west. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the northeast near 29 mph (46 km/h), and this general motion with an increase in forward speed is expected over the next couple of days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Gabrielle is expected to weaken over the next two days and dissipate over the far North Atlantic west of the british isles on Thursday.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles (205 km) from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 998 mb (29.47 inches).
