Texas’s deadliest tornado strikes Waco

It was on this day in 1953, that the deadliest tornado in Texas history struck Waco. 114 people would lose their lives during the F5 twister. It also marks the anniversary of the F5 1970 Lubbock tornado and the 1972 flood in New Braunfels that killed at least 15 people.
