COLD FRONT: Temperatures expected to drop more than 30 degrees by Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO - If you've been waiting for some true December weather, wait no longer!

While it will be very warm and humid on Monday -- in the low-80s -- a cold pool of air is spilling across the U.S., heading right for South Central Texas!

Shortly after sunrise Tuesday, the front will move through, switching winds to the north at a blustery 15 to 25 mph with gusts as high as 30 to 35 mph possible.

These winds will bring in cold Siberian air, dropping temperatures all day Tuesday.

Before sunrise, the thermometer will read in the upper 60s but by the end of the day we'll be in the low 50s and upper 40s -- a 30-plus degree difference from Monday to Tuesday.

Additionally, there is the chance for some passing rain as the front moves through. While drought-busting rain shouldn't be expected, some of our lawns will get a good soaking.

The best news? This winter-like weather will stick around for at least the next five days!
