High heat continues, a few showers possible this weekend

Highs in upper 90s forecasted throughout weekend

SAN ANTONIO – Like Thursday afternoon, an isolated downpour will be possible across South Texas today.

The best chances for rain will be southeast of San Antonio, but even areas along Interstate 35 will have the potential to see some activity.

Otherwise, temperatures will warm into the upper 90s, while heat index values reach 100. 

More heat on deck for weekend

Saturday should be a carbon copy, with a 20 percent chance of rain for most areas.

However, those rain chances diminish Sunday as high pressure begins to build back into the area.

A slight uptick in temperatures can also be expected for the second half of the weekend.
