KSAT Weather: Chilly couple of days ahead

Jackets needed through Saturday; warmer on Sunday

SAN ANTONIO – Wednesday and Thursday weren’t exactly warm, but the forecast for Friday and Saturday calls for much cooler temperatures in the 50s.

The clouds will stick around most of today, just as they have for the past few days. Some rain showers may creep into the southern portions of the area, but the San Antonio metro will stay dry.

Temperatures will start in the 40s, but only warm to a high in the upper 50s. You’ll need a jacket all day, especially if you plan to be outside. If it’s date night or just an evening outing, take the jacket and you may even want to warm up with a cup of coffee.

Saturday will be equally cool, but the rain will be more widespread as an upper-level disturbance sits to our west. The best chances for seeing rain will be in the San Antonio metro and points to the south and east.

Sunday looks a bit warmer with a touch more sunshine as well.
