SAN ANTONIO – Lightning was blamed for a house fire Tuesday afternoon on the city's North Side.
The fire was reported around 3 p.m. in the 1500 block of Wood Grove.

When firefighters arrived at the home, they encountered heavy flames in the attic and a back bedroom.
The family was able to escape safely but the home is considered a total loss, fire officials said.
