The closer to the Equator you are, the harder it will be to see the meteors.

In contrast to most meteor showers, the best time to view the Draconids will be around dusk after the sun sets.

The Draconid meteor shower is usually modest, with a handful of slow-moving meteors per hour, according to Earthsky.org.

Tips for viewing meteor showers:

  • Dress for the weather in your area.
  • Find a spot outside the city where the lights aren’t as bright.
  • Watch on peak nights.
