SAN ANTONIO – A cold front arrived early Friday, and it was a doozy!
Temperatures started in the mid-50s and only made it to the mid-60s by the middle of the afternoon.

Strong north winds between 15 and 25 mph and wind gusts as high as 35 mph kept a big chill in the air from sunrise to sunset.
The truly cold air will settle in Friday night and Saturday morning.
Temperatures will bottom-out in the upper 30s in San Antonio, and near-freezing in the Hill Country. Those that live in the Hill Country should make preparations for a light freeze both Friday and Saturday nights.
Afternoon temperatures Saturday will only climb to near 67 degrees, even under full sunshine.
We’ll see a high of 71 degrees on Sunday.
This will easily be the coldest air we’ve received so far this fall, and will serve as a nice reminder that, yes…the heaters in our cars do severe some purpose.
