SAPD to conduct bomb detonation training Sunday on South Side

Officials say no cause for alarm; several detonations will be heard

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department’s Bomb Squad will be conducting training exercises on Sunday.

SAPD said detonations may be heard in the surrounding area, but there is no cause for concern.

The exercises will take place between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the San Antonio Training Academy, located off Southeast Loop 410 near Pleasanton Road.

Officials say there will be several detonations.
