SAN ANTONIO – In need of a doughnut deflation? As an effort to sweeten the pain of the gas pump, Krispy Kreme is pricing its classic dozen doughnuts for the national cost of a gallon of gas.

The promotion will run throughout the month of August, ending on Labor Day.

The offer is redeemable by request only on Wednesdays in-person, at the drive-thru, or with online pickup. Krispy Kreme tells customers to ask for the Beat the Pump Original Glazed Dozen.

Prices will be updated weekly, depending on the cost of gas across the country. As of Aug. 10, the national average for gas was $4.01, according to AAA.
