Incident occurred around 10 p.m. in 300 block of San Pedro Avenue

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating after a man showed up to a north downtown convenience store stabbed multiple times.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at a QuikTrip in the 300 block of San Pedro Avenue, not far from both Interstate 35 and Brooklyn Avenue.

According to police, the 46-year-old man walked into the convenience store after being stabbed multiple times in both the face and neck and then lost consciousness after he came out of the restroom.

Police said an EMS paramedic happened to be in the parking lot and was able to render aid to the man. He was transported by ambulance to Brooke Army Medical Center, where he’s listed in serious condition.

SAPD said the man was in shock and was not able to provide any information to officers. There is no description of a suspect.

Officers later found a blood trail that led across the highway to Quincy Street and are now hoping to discover more clues about the stabbing.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all responded to the call.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
