Police said a 23-year-old woman was speeding westbound on SW Loop 410 and attempted to go around a slow-moving vehicle when she lost control after swerving to avoid hitting another car.

The woman swerved into the grass median and began to roll over several times and was ejected from the vehicle before coming to a stop.

She was taken to an area hospital in critical condition and has since stabilized, police said.
