Investigation underway after car accident on Interstate 37, SAPD says I-37 to the Pecan Valley area of San Antonio was shut down

SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE : Interstate 37 reopened on Saturday evening after a car accident.
The highway was shut down as San Antonio police officers investigated the accident.
ORIGINAL STORY : A highway on the Southeast Side of San Antonio has shut down after a car accident, according to police.
SAPD said officials are investigating an accident at Interstate 37 and Goliad Road.
I-37 to the Pecan Valley area of San Antonio is shut down, police said.
Officials encourage drivers to take an alternative route.
