15-year-old girl hospitalized with gunshot wound after argument between family members, SAPD says

Shooter fled from the scene and has not been found

SAN ANTONIO – A 15-year-old girl was hospitalized after a shooting on the far East Side, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. Saturday in the 4300 block of West Vasquez Circle.

A witness told officers that there was an argument between family members that escalated into a shooting, police said.

Several family members tried to leave the location in a vehicle when someone started shooting at the car, SAPD said.

Police said the 15-year-old girl, who was inside the vehicle, was struck by the gunfire. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The shooter fled from the location and has not been found, according to police.
