I have a home 100yds from the river in Ingram and was there for the entire flood. At around 5:30am the power went out and I could hear a couple of weird sounds. I thought we had a water leak as I could hear water under the house. Also, I heard a roaring noise like a big truck was outside. I went out on my deck (still very dark out) and saw my neighbor's truck sitting sideways in my yard with the lights on. I then realized the roar was coming from the Ingram Dam, which is about 150yrds from my place. I only had a flashlight so could not see alot but then noticed there were actual WAVES lapping at my driveway! We had about 2 ft of water all around our home and my neighbor, who was lower and a bit closer to the river, was underwater. He ended up with a 50ft storage container on his front porch. The road (Hwy 39) was about 6-8ft under water and totally impassable. NO WAY anyone from the camps or Hunt even would have been able to et out before that water hit them, Plus, this is the Only road in and out of the area. If they would have tried they would have been washed away for sure ending up with even More casualties. The pictures and video I took was about 2 hrs after the peak flood level. The leak I thought I had was the river flowing under my home. We most likely have structural damage from the amount of water underneath us but my neighbor's home is a total loss. It looked like the water lifted up his home as his porches were wrenched from the home.
