A former senior aide to first lady Jill Biden has declined to answer questions as part of a House Republican probe into former President Joe Biden's mental state.

In a story published April 26, 2024, The Associated Press reported that a memorandum of understanding is required between campaigns and the General Services Administration that governs everything in presidential transitions from the provision of federal office space to access to sensitive documents by Sept. 1.

“There’s still so much we don’t know,” Biden said during a news conference in Wilmington, Delaware. “The truth is, the Trump administration failed to prioritize cybersecurity,” Biden said. He called the bill a “down payment” on a broader relief bill he plans to introduce when he takes office in January. “I look forward to the second shot, and I have absolute confidence in the vaccine,” Biden said. Reed served as Biden’s chief of staff during his first term as vice president and has long been a close member of Biden’s inner circle of advisers.
