Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty again.

Five years after Harvey Weinstein was convicted of rape and hauled to jail in handcuffs, the disgraced movie mogul returns to a Manhattan courthouse Tuesday for a new trial covering the very same allegations.

The chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee is looking into how a former police officer landed an investigator's job at the U.S. Center for SafeSport despite sex-crime allegations that littered his past, while also asking if the center knew he had been accused of newer crimes when working there last year.

The leader of the U.S. Center for SafeSport wrote in an email that the revelation of a former investigator’s arrest on rape charges was “just sickening,” while also saying there was no reason to believe he’d committed any wrongdoing while working for the center.

Weinstein’s lawyers sent a letter to Judge James Burke saying his comments Tuesday were “prejudicial and inflammatory” and raised questions about his impartiality. Weinstein’s lawyers said the film producer, who has been seen clutching an iPhone, was using his cell phone before court was in session. As his New York trial was getting underway Monday, Los Angeles prosecutors announced new charges in a separate case against Weinstein.
