Man shot twice during confrontation on the North Side, police say

A man was shot twice during a confrontation on the city's North Side Wednesday afternoon. The shooting happened in the 800 block of Alametos. Police said a woman showed up with two others and some type of altercation happened. That's when the man was shot by one of the people in the group. The man told police he had been pistol-whipped, but investigators later discovered he had been shot in the head. Officers said he is not listed in critical condition.
