Child, 11, hurt after gun discharges while man attempted to disassemble it

An 11-year-old child was hurt while a man was trying to disassemble a gun on the North Side. The incident happened Thursday night east of TPC Parkway and Evans. Bexar County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as 32-year-old Robert Gordon Stever Jr. Investigators said he was showing someone his weapons and trying to take a gun apart when it went off. The child was taken to University Hospital for treatment. Stever is booked in the Bexar County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
