San Antonio City Council passes resolution supporting renters' rights

San Antonio City Council members passed a resolution on Thursday supporting renters' rights. The resolution passed 10-0 with Councilman Clayton Perry abstaining. Unofficially branded "The Renters Bill of Rights" by activists, the resolution does not add any new protections. Instead, it highlights the rights renters already have under federal, state and local laws and consolidates them into one place .
