San Antonio athletes compete in Junior Olympics synchronized swimming competition

The Cygnets of San Antonio hosted the regional Junior Olympics Saturday at the Josh David Natatorium. Teams from all over Texas competed in the synchronized swimming competition to earn a spot on the official Junior Olympics team to represent the U.S. Saturday's competition had figure and routine events to see if the athletes could move forward to the Olympic team. Over 230 athletes participated from other cities like Austin and Dallas. The two-day event will last until 3 p.m. Monday, when the team events will be showcased.
