Jury still deliberating fate of woman accused of murdering her boyfriend

The first outcome was a mistrial. Now, a jury is again deliberating in the case of a woman accused of murdering her boyfriend. Amanda Montoya is charged in the 2016 murder of Cesar Gallegos, who was shot in his South Side home. Montoya was still at the scene when police arrived. This week, during her re-trial, the defence argued that this shooting was an accident. But the state said the evidence made them believe it was murder.
