Historic five-and-dime with ties to civil rights to become cultural center

A historic five-and-dime long since closed, along with the department store next to it, will have even greater significance as the future home of the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum. The $100 million project will include exhibitions, a research library, classrooms and more.
