WATCH: DA Joe Gonzales announces he will not seek reelection

Gonzales was elected to the county’s top prosecutor role in 2018, beating incumbent Nico LaHood.He was re-elected in 2022 over Republican candidate Marc LaHood, the former DA’s brother. Gonzales’ current term runs through 2026 with the next election primary in March.
