Kerr County emergency management coordinator Dub Thomas says he was sick, asleep during July 4 floods

W.B. "Dub" Thomas, the emergency management coordinator and deputy sheriff for Kerr County and the City of Ingram, confirmed being asleep during the deadly flood event. He was awoken by his wife at 5:30 a.m. He said he was sick in the days leading up to the flood event and had missed work on July 3.
