The Running Event kicks off downtown ahead of inaugural San Antonio Marathon

San Antonio is hosting North America's largest running, outdoor retail and apparel convention. It is called "The Running Event," and it has been going on all week.  According to Visit San Antonio's economic projections, hosting The Running Event 2025 is expected to generate an economic impact of more than $5.7 million, fueled by $3.3 million in direct spending and millions more through indirect business sales, job support and local tax revenue.
