Castle Hills police department says the armed suspect shot this morning has died

The Castle Hills Police Department says the suspect shot by a detective this morning has died. The shooting happened after officers responded to a hit-and-run crash around 8:30 a.m. on Loop 410 near the Northwest Military Highway exit. According to the department, an armed person with one or more knives got out of their vehicle and approached an officer, and that's when the suspect was shot. The suspect's name has not been released.
