How domestic violence survivors are notified when their abuser gets out of county jail, prison

When an abuser is being released from jail or prison, there is a statewide notification system in place to notify victims so they have time to prepare. Victims can now receive notifications from a single, overarching system about offenders in both jails and prisons.
