Critics say Texas social studies revamp would narrow students' view

The Texas State Board of Education is making progress on proposed plans to revamp the core focus of social studies lessons in schools across the state. Right now in Austin, board members and panelists are hearing public comments about changes that would place more emphasis on Texas and U.S. history over world history. Opponents of the proposed plan tell KSAT the changes would give Texas students a narrow view of Texas and the world we live in.
