Alamo Heights community reacts after ICE detains mother, 2 children

Two students and their mother were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. According to a flier circulating in Alamo Heights, the two students attended Cambridge Elementary in the Alamo Heights Independent School District. A DHS spokesperson says “On April 27, ICE arrested Maria Betania Uzategui-Castillo, an illegal alien from Venezuela and her two minor children who are also illegally in the country. They illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico on December 4, 2021.” Parents in the district shared their thoughts on the situation with KSAT. More on ksat.com
