Here are some tips from the airport for stress-free holiday travel:

Early Arrival: Passengers should arrive at least two hours before their scheduled flight for flights before 7:30 a.m. and 90 minutes for flights thereafter.

Check the flight status online: Passengers are able to check their flight status before they leave home and receive email alerts if they sign up at sanantonio.gov.

Get your Boarding Pass Early: Passengers can print boarding passes online before they arrive or can use the convenient airline check-in kiosks at the airport. Click here to see how ID thieves are also targeting boarding passes during the holidays.

Weigh Bags Before Check In: Weigh your bags before your check in with your airline. SAT has scales installed at each terminal for passenger convenience.

Dress the Part: Passengers should avoid wearing metal in or on clothing. Keys, jewelry, belt buckles and other metal items should be packed in a carry‐on bag for easier processing. TSA information can be found at tsa.gov.

Have a Parking Plan: Passengers can check the availability of parking, get directions and parking information by visiting sanantonio.gov. Pressed for time? Take a shuttle, taxi or rideshare.

Use the Cell Phone Lot for pick-ups: The free Cell Phone Lot is minutes away from both terminals and has free WiFi available while you wait for your arrival to call.

Pick Up Tip: Evening arrivals can get crowded downstairs. Pick up your party on the upper level and avoid the added traffic.
